PUBLIC HEARING ON RTD SERVICE CUTS

RTD has proposed significant cuts for transit services in the Boulder area, scheduled to start in January. A public hearing will be held on Monday, October 5, 2009 at 7p.m. in the Creekside Room at Boulder’s West Senior Center to provide information on the proposed service changes and gather public input prior to final RTD board consideration of the proposal, scheduled for October.
RTD has proposed the following reductions in the Boulder area:
DASH: Discontinue the 5:37a.m. eastbound trip
205: Reduce peak hour service from every 15 minutes to every 30 minutes
205: Discontinue the 205C branch via Spine Road.
228: Reduce weekday midday service from every 30 minutes to every 60 minutes
228: Reduce Saturday service from every 30 minutes to every 60 minutes
228: End Saturday service at 7:30p.m.
STAMPEDE: Reduce service from every 10 minutes to every 15 minutes between 5:00p.m. and 5:30p.m.
STAMPEDE: Reduce service from every 15 minutes to every 30 minutes between 6:00p.m. and 7:00p.m.
