2010 Fundraising Drive
We have raised a total of $6885, and have $1915 left to raise. If everyone in our neighborhood gave the same amount they gave last year, we would be set. Please keep this in mind when making your donations.

More donations over the weekend have brought us to $6145. Our funds are due to RTD by the end of the month (which is the end of this week!) if we want to be guaranteed to receive our 2010 decals by the beginning of the new year. Please get your contributions in now.

RTD service cuts
Dear EcoPass Users,
RTD has not received an overwhelming response to their proposed cuts. If you and your neighbors have time it would be great if you could send a note along to RTD to let them know how these cuts will impact you, your family and community.
RTD SERVICE CUTS
Written comments can be submitted to RTD via fax 303.299.2227 or email service.changes@rtd-denver.com but must be received no later than October 7, 2009
RTD has proposed significant cuts for transit services in the Boulder area, scheduled to start in January.
RTD has proposed the folliownig reductions in the Boulder area:
DASH: Discontinue the 5:37a.m. eastbound trip
205: Reduce peak hour service from every 15 minutes to every 30 minutes
205: Discontinue the 205C branch via Spine Road.
228: Reduce weekday midday service from every 30 minutes to every 60 minutes
228: Reduce Saturday service from every 30 minutes to every 60 minutes
228: End Saturday service at 7:30p.m.
STAMPEDE: Reduce service from every 10 minutes to every 15 minutes between 5:00p.m. and 5:30p.m.
STAMPEDE: Reduce service from every 15 minutes to every 30 minutes between 6:00p.m. and 7:00p.m.

A public hearing will be held on Monday, October 5, 2009 at 7p.m. in the Creekside Room at Boulder’s West Senior Center to provide information on the proposed service changes and gather public input prior to final RTD board consideration of the proposal, scheduled for October.

Ooops!
I just realized that I never posted up here that we received the remaining funds to meet our fundraising goal and we all received our EcoPasses. I think I was too distracted by preparing for (and then caring for) our neighborhood's newest public transit user. I'll try to do better to keep this site updated.
